VHA STANLEY CUP Playoffs Season 3 Round 2 EAST
With the EAST all settled and ready to go let have a look at the upcoming match – ups.
Phillidia Flyers (1) vs Toronto Maple Leafs (5)
It was a tale of two different series when it comes to the Leafs and the Flyers in the first round. The Leafs in a scoring dual while defense lacked. The Flyers were in a more defense mode beating the Islanders. The Flyers can only hope the Bryz keeps up with the elite play in the next round but with a extremely skilled opponent with scoring power like the Leafs he will have his hands full. Even though it was not needed in their first round, the Flyers will need more scoring out of their stars players. Look for a huge series from Gaborik and Pacioretty, if the fail to do so, so will the Flyers. Both teams will need a complete team effort as if the big guns are silent it will be the secondary scoring units that will win the war.
Leadings Scorers
1. Stamkos 8G 2A (TOR)
2. Malkin 3G 5A (TOR)
3. Helm 4G 3A (TOR)
4. Gaborik 5G 1A (PHI)
5. Pacioretty 2G 3A (PHI)
6. Korpikoski 2G 2A (PHI)
Goalie Match Up
Bryzgalov .75 95.83% Vs Price 4.58 84.53%
Injures
Flyers and Leafs HAVE NO Injuries
Leafs will steal one game but will not be able to handle the Flyers.

Florida Panthers (2) vs Boston Bruins (3)
After a fairly easy first round the Bruins and Panthers square off in round 2. Finishing 2nd and 3rd in the conference this year the Teams both have the skill to take the series. Defense will be the key to both teams and the team to shut down the offense will be moving on of course. Dipietro may be a concern for the Bruins but all season long the GM has stood firm with making Dipietro their #1 netminder. On the other hand the Panthers will need the same great play from guys like Jokinen, Ribeiro and Hayes. This series should be a dandy and both teams are chomping at the bit to get things going with such a gap between series.
Leadings Scorers
1. Jokinen 5G 3A (FLA)
2. Ribeiro 3G 5A (FLA)
3. Hayes 3G 2A (FLA)
4. Kopecky 4G 1A (BOS)
5. Bouwmeester 1G 4A (BOS)
6. Larose 2G 3A (BOS)
Goalie Match Up
Schneider 1.38 92.93% vs Dipietro 2.19 83.02%
Injuries
Panthers - NONE
Bruins
Savard (15 games with fractured ankle)
Boyes (13 games with bruised ribs)

This will be a very close defensive series but in the end the Panthers will march on through.
