Basically, I've proposed simming the first 2-3 months of each regular season in order to speed up the rate of season completion.
Why? Because as of now, with the long regular season, peoples real life personal schedules, the length of games (7 minutes), etc., VHA will most likely never make it to 10-15+ seasons. As a result, there is little 'fun value' in the GM side of things (e.g. trades, drafting, managing the cap, re-signing, FA signing, etc.). Doing this, for a number of reasons, will significantly balance the two factors that should weigh into a team's overall success, being (a) playing ability and (b) actual GMing ability (i.e. team management ability) .
A list of pros (off the top of my head):
More seasons means proper GMing (long-term team management) actually counts (balancing playing ability vs. GMing ability)
More seasons means things like trades, drafting, signings, etc. will have a noticeable impact (making GMing enjoyable)
Simming allows a team built better (i.e. better overall rating) to win some games that otherwise may not have been won
Simming allows for a few more regular season injuries, forcing GMs to take maintenance of team depth into account
Fewer regular season games presumably means less game fatigue (and perhaps less VHA GM turnover)
More seasons means more playoffs (i.e. exciting games) and opportunities to win Cups (and build dynasties?!)
A list of cons (off the top of my head):
Simming means more injuries
Again, please see the initial suggestion thread as it maybe explains my points a little more clearly:

Also, please post comments (negative or positive) or alternative suggestions if you have them.
