Previous ANA Trades

So i realize im new to the league and that these trades already went through a while ago..

I just had to say it.. Both of these trades should not have gone through.

FIRST TRADE

To Phoenix:

Corey Perry (89 OVR, 4.5* White)
Joseph Cramarossa (57 OVR, 2.5* Red)

To Anaheim:

Oliver Ekman-Larsson (82 OVR,4.5* Gold)
David Moss (81 OVR, 3.5* White)
2015 2nd round pick

A team that is already defence heavy adding on someone who is unneeded, leaving an already forward heavy team HEAVILY lacking. If you look at trade value for the players here you will see that it is nowhere near close. OEL has a great name in the NHL but on here he has a 50/50 chance to make it to be anywhere between 85-89. David moss is a 3rd liner. And a 2015 2nd round pick is so far off that is dosnt even make send. A 2015 second round pick will be ready by 2019 in this game.

Then we have C. Perry - superstar, first liner hit his potential at the max (89). Young and is a top 20 player in the league.

There is no way OEL + a 3rd line winger is worth that.

SECOND TRADE

To Colorado:

Vikor Fasth (85 OVR, 4* White)

To Anaheim:

Semyon Varlamov (81 OVR, 4* Gold)
2014 2nd round pick (BUF)
2014 3rd round pick

This is a no brainer. Fasth. Hit his max at 85 OVR. four stars. white.

On the other hand. An 81 overall 4 star yellow. Which means he has a 50/50 shot at making it to 85. Meaning he will probably make it around 82-83 and a 2nd/3rd round pick. This trade is so lopsided it is ridiculous. Dont believe me? Go look at the trade values for varlamov and fasth.

I get that the old GM agreed to this, what im unsure of is how it went through.

Would you like to know what my first line was when i took the team?
Getzlaf (88) Selanne (81 - 43 y/o) and Silfverberg (80)

Hey, Gank I understand where you are coming from for the most part but unfortunately these trades have happen and been approved. The previous owner who was a long standing member with the League had a different view/system and was doing really well. Unfortunately it does not seem you are happy with such a roster or moves he made.

The TC, just to give some background was formed so the commishes did not have to make all the decisions and a group could help him out. We have disagreed on a lot of trades and approved a lot of trades. The main reason is so we do not have any junk teams. Even though you may not agree with your roster you should be able to use the parts you have to get the pieces you want. This is also why we have now implemented the probation rule.

The issue we run into a lot is the definition of "lop sided" type of deals as you see a lop sided deal the TC felt it was fair to go through. Trading a player to player and having a point gap of 3-5 is acceptable as every gm has different needs and wants.

I can understand your frustration and if you have any questions give me a shout or I am sure the commishes will listen to your concerns. I am certain you will have no issue deal pieces to get the team you want and need.

The TC fixed what again? Added more drama and clearly not keeping the new gm's happy with the team's they are receiving. Those trades are a joke and saying they went through cause he's a long serving member is bull because I have had way more even trades get declined and I have been around longer then mockjk and contributed more to the league then him so don't know how his trades were ok but some of these other deals are not.

I realize the trades went through already but moving forward i would like to help improve the league and do the best i can to make this place great. It was just a rant on how ridiculous these trades actually were if you look at the actual value of these trades. Two superstars were basically given away to guys with a lot of hype IRL.

Dont you worry, i will use the pieces i have to fix up the team. It will just hurt us in the long run which i will try to minimize the effect of. I made a post about a new idea for the TC so we will see what people think about that.

Kings if we did your way Ana would a lot more mad about his team if that was the case, it would be a complete mess.

We can not make everyone happy. I like this league and would love to see it continue and make it so other continue and want to join.

I think you may have misunderstood the statement about old Ana GM, all I meant is that he was around for a while and had a style of play he wanted (strong d) and he made trades to help that. They weren't horrible and the team received assets so they could required pieces they may want.

Respect all you do for this league but we disagree on this subject.

Those trades aren't unfair IMO. You could get another forward for Ekman-Larsson if you want as he is valuable. My understanding of player development is 4.5 star yellow is not just 50/50 but 50% chance of 85-9 and also a 25% of either falling short or exceeding that so I don't understand why it wouldn't be a fair trade. I understand the frustration with the Fasth deal because you love the guy and most GM's in the league would love to have him but he was gone before you joined and your just gonna have to let it go and start building the team as you would like

As i said, this was just a rant. I feel as if they were unfair and will go on business as usual.

However, an 82 player who is yellow and 4.5 stars does not equal a superstar 89 who reached his potential. at least not with some random 81 winger thrown in the mix.

I'm kinda confused because you whine about the TC but then you make this post that defends the reasoning to having a TC. You should probably just stop complaining about the TC if you don't like drama because your starting to sound like a drama queen.

I am not defending the TC at all, I'm clearly saying it is not stopping bad trades and creating quite a lot of problems for more then just a few gm's.
